On side A, Adam Stegemann presents a stunning new mix of a timeless classic. A DiscoNet style revamp for the modern era, Stegemann’s No Control Mix is a nine and half minute sing-along party starter and end of night club burner.

A Brooklyn based producer, key player and disco DJ since 2006, Stegemann was coaxed out of semi-retirement in 2019 spurned largely by the purchase of a used Ensoniq Mirage sampler. Stegemann has DJ’ed and promoted through 2012 in NYC as part of No Relation, a collective also comprised of Samples from Mars founder Teddy Stuart, Blood Orange Bassist Malcolm Hill and former Warp A&R honcho Charles Damga. He cut his teeth as a DJ at WNYU through 2010, contributing frequently to the highly regarded friday-night vinyl only disco show A Downtown Affair where he shared the decks with the likes of Henry Maldonado, Doug Gomez, and Peter Reyes. As a musician Stegemann trained under the likes of arranger Gil Goldstein (Miles Davis), bassist Ron Mcclure (Pointer Sisters), and Mike Ledonne (Art Farmer/Milt Jackson), and briefly made a living as a cocktail jazz pianist on Long Island. He is currently producing under aliases Video Burnout and My Left Speaker among others yet to be revealed (but we've heard them and can promise some big things to come).

Universal Cave brings up the B side with two dubby, downtempo, disco groovers perfect for when any ray of light feels too bright and the walls are starting to move. Up All Night is dedicated to Philadelphia’s legendary Making Time parties, and Too Much is a nightlife testimonial for the ages. Universal Cave production from Alex Tebbs Mitchell, Ryan M Todd, Shawn Ryan, and Brian Cassidy.
